Structural Engineering Software for Windows

SDCalcs brings steel, wood, masonry wall-tie, and caisson embedment calculations into one desktop project. Built by practicing engineers for everyday residential structural engineering workflows, it combines analysis, diagrams, and detailed calculation reports.

The SDCalcs Windows beta is available for evaluation and testing.

The installer includes the Microsoft .NET 8 Desktop Runtime. Request access by email to receive the download link.

For evaluation and testing only, not actual engineering designs. The current beta expires October 15, 2026, Pacific time. Internet access is required at startup.

Structural calculations in one project

  • Steel Beam: beam analysis, shear and moment diagrams, deflection results, and member design checks.
  • Steel Column: axial and in-plane lateral loading, bracing, second-order analysis, and member checks.
  • Steel Base Plate: centered compression, concrete bearing, and plate thickness.
  • Wood Post: sawn-lumber compression, adjustment factors, and column stability.
  • Masonry Wall Ties: seismic anchorage tension demand and headed or L-bolt capacity.
  • Caisson Embedment: lateral-load resultants, soil-pressure limits, and required embedment.

  • SDCalcs caisson embedment calculation with lateral loads and soil-pressure inputs.

Calculations you can review

Review inputs, governing results, and calculation steps in one place. Applicable modules include loading, reaction, shear, moment, and deflection diagrams. Organize multiple members within a project and produce calculation reports with your company and project information.

Available methods and checks vary by module. The module help explains the supported inputs, outputs, and limitations.
